More on the Illinois political machine scandal

The Illinois Governor influence peddling scandal is growing like a weed on steroids. It now seems that the now-accused, arrested, arraigned and released on bail, Governor Rod Blagojevich (can't believe I can now spell his name without looking it up!) had his hand in all kinds of "south side Chicago politics".

 

The over 100 page complaint alleges that Blagojevich was not only trying to sell BHO's vacant US Senate seat to the highest bidder, but was trying to influence peddle corporate rights of access, union sweetheart deals, and his attempt to alter the Chicago Tribune newspaper's editorial board to more favorable members in turn for assistance with the Tribune Company's sell of their Chicago sports facility.

 

Its truly mind boggling that BHO could be so close to this scandal ever before he has taken the country's highest office; however, the Democrats and liberals are trying to help him distance his office from these dealings with all the power at their command.

 

The only major media outlets covering the story in any depth is the Fox New Channel on cable and some of the late night talk shows taking some "humor" at the Illinois Governor's expense.

 

The US Attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald, said that he was not extending his investigation to the BHO campaign or its members, but did not specifically say BHO was clean. So if the players begin to "desert the sinking ship" what will come out as they try to get the best deal from Fitzgerald?

Dem Illinois Gov arrested for Senate seat peddling

Scandals are happening in Illinois before BHO even gets to the White House as the current Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (IL-D) is arrested for peddling the now vacant US Senator's seat previously held by President-elect BHO. Yes, my friends, he is Democrat and very liberal.

 

Gov. Blagojevich is allegedly offering the vacant Senate seat during taped phone calls which were recorded by the US Attorney's office in Illinois. This is the same US Attorney that indicted Scooter Libby, the once Bush White House advisee, during his recent trial that ended with his being convicted of lying under oath.

 

The only main stream media outlet breaking the news if the Tribune Co's Chicago papers since the Governor is also charged with using his office to try and get editorial board members at the Chicago papers of the Tribune Company (the one filing for bankruptcy due to a $12 Billion USD debt load) fired for being negative about the Governor's actions concerning the vacant US Senate seat and the Tribune's refunding operations.

 

So now BHO has to deal with this embarrassment while he is trying to just get to the White House unscathed by his own party and the far left liberal clan that are upset with his cabinet picks and his back peddling on several liberal issues he promised during the campaign.

 

Again, the story just gets better and better. We conservatives or independents as the case may be are just sitting back and laughing while we watch our country burn since the lunatics are firmly in charge of the asylum.

 

The first steps towards socialism are being heard!

OK, finally something worth writing about on the blog...

 

I told you I would inform you when the state of the Union was heading towards a more socialistic formation, and before BHO has even taken office, the ugly head of government intrusion into private industry (the hallmark of creeping socialism) has reared its head.

 

In Illinois, the state government has decided to suspend all business with Bank of America because it supposedly withdrew a small business credit funding and the employees of this small business whom appear from all news programs to be non-English speaking immigrants with mortgage loans they can't afford staged a take-over of the business' office building. The Governor of Illinois, the very liberal Rod Blagojevich, has informed BOA that they will lose all Illinois state government relationships.

 

Now this may sound very compassionate and nice, but don't get misled: this is the new socialistic bent of government that is now going to use its power, control and assets to force social engineering which is the very tip of the iceberg of socialistic formations. Government that intrudes into the operation of private company capital formation and usage is the very definition of socialism.

 

Now all the liberal Congress people are getting on the bandwagon:

 

Rep. Jan Schakowsky, an Illinois Democrat, called it the start of a movement. "This story has resonated around the world," she said.

 

Rep. Schakowsky's comments are even more indicative of how the liberals are going to move towards the far left and all conservatives should ensure that they don't hide their heads in the sand as it happens. Engage those that believe that this is the right thing to accomplish. Don't be afraid speaking your mind.

 

This act by the Illinois governor should send a chill down the spine of every capitalistic, free-market citizen. The step is right down the line of what I warned you about the BHO and his SMDC in that they would slow, but very surely move towards the tenants of socialism. It is the beginning of the move from the USA towards the USSA.

 

Just watch the small steps, folks. They are happening now in front of our very nose.

 

 

Democratic assignments for the 111th show left bias!

The Democratic Caucus installed Rep. Henry Waxman as the Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce committee shows where the new Congress is heading. The Republicans that have saying not to worry about how far left this White House and Congress can go had better wake up and see the baby steps that are falling.

 

Rep. Waxman is one of the most rabid environmentalist-nutjobs in the Congress, and to make him the head of the House committee that overseas House legislative initiatives for energy and commerce??? Why are the Democrats putting members in committee chair positions that hate the oversight area they are suppose to regulate and control?

 

Examples:

Rep. Barney Frank, Chairs the House Financial Services committee, is a socialist and rabid anti-capitalist.

 

Rep. Henry Waxman, Chairs the House Energy & Commerce committee, is a environmentalist that believes the US should completely swear-off anything oil-based. (His own words in an interview on MSNBC)

 

Sen. John Kerry, Chairs the Senate Small Business committee, is husband of the hier to the Heinz Food fortune, how small business is this?

 

Sen. Pat Leahy, Chairs the Senate Judiciary committee, is from the state of VT that hands out 3-4 month sentences for child molesters and lets convicted pedophiles to continue their craft while declaring them "rehabilitated."

 

and the list goes on and on...

 

What to see where this 111th Congress is going? Watch the players being placed into key positions of power and prestige. It will not be hard to figure it out.

 

What liberals can expect from conservatives like me

So what can the people that don't consider BHO their President like the liberals did in 2000-2008 when they said over and over that Bush-43 wasn't their President?

 

We can take verbal exceptions with his policies, his legislative agenda, his attempts to socialize the country hoping that he and his SMDC will over reach so that he and his Congress will get spanked like they did in 1994 when the then First Lady, Hillary C, over reached and tried to pass nationalized health care without input from the Republicans (then the minority party) or from the public just what they accused VP Cheney of doing with his aborted energy forum in 2001-2002.

 

See, the Republicans and Democrats are so much alike it stinks. This is why its time to take one out and I would say its the Republicans since they have the least to lose after the trouncing they got in the 2 last elections. The Democrats are still high off their last election of BHO and the SMDC so they are not going to want to change their ways.

 

Does your memory include how the Democrats were considered on the ropes after the 1994 Republican "Contract with America" rout of the leftists? Well, that was 14 years ago, and now its time for the Republicans to be routed by the ones they did. So turn around is fair play and it depends on how the Democrats take their power trip as to how long they will be given power. Since the rout of the Republicans began in 2006, it will probably be a bit longer for the country to tire of the left/liberal shenanigans before they throw them out of office. When that happens and how it happens will depend a lot on how the Republicans have altered their public persona.

 

If the Republicans have changed little from today, then the Democrats are going to be able to retain power for a longer period of time since voters will see little reason for change. If on the other hand, the Republicans or the American Conservative Party (ACP as I call it which should replace the GOP) have a sound traditional, differentiated platform then they may be able to take power from the liberals earlier and more easily.

 

 

Double standard setting up to forgive BHO's mistakes

My pleasure at seeing Alan Colmes, a very liberal Fox News commentary on the Hannity & Colmes show, be somewhat honest in his perspective about the failure of both parties in the creation of this current financial crisis was dashed last night when he began the normal far left/liberal setup for blaming Bush-43 and Republicans for everything that will go wrong with BHO's first term.

 

During Bush-43 first term, Mr. Colmes like most liberals were so bitter that the 2000 (that was a whole year before Bush-43 took office) internet bubble pop and the resulting recession and job loss scenario that took place into 2001 blamed everything on Bush even though it began and blossomed under the last year of Slick Willie's last term.

 

Now that it looks like BHO is going to get the same negative treatment from the economy, Mr. Colmes is saying that it the jobs loss in 2009 will have be laid at the feet of Bush-43 not BHO. So you see, impotent and meek Republicans, you are about to get blamed for everything, and in your "turn the other cheek" mentality of playing by the rules you are going to get politically raped and feed to the sharks.

 

Since the Republican Party has no cahones to fight back we will see BHO and the MSM (main stream media) blame, and blame, and blame the Bush-43 administration for all the ills of the coming recession that BHO will exacerbate with his raise capital gains taxes, raise corporate taxes, and raise the minimum wage, etc. BHO will be given a complete pass and Bush-43 and the Republicans which will take it like a cow to the slaughter without even fighting back.

 

Just letting you know this ahead of time since I still believe the Republican Party needs to die and be buried with a bit of fanfare, but not too much since they killed themselves in a sort of weird form of political suicide.

 

Colmes may be right thinking that he and his far left liberals will get away with blaming it on the Republicans and Bush-43. However, if BHO and his SMDC over reach, they could get slapped hard in 2010, but it all depends on if they do it by "killing me softly..."

 

Will BHO govern from the center? When pigs fly!

So many Republican pundits (K. Rove, N. Gingrich, G. Beck, etc) are saying that BHO will have to govern from the central; that the economy will not allow BHO to move left; that if he is going to consolidate his power, he must move to the center.

Well, Bull crap!

I called the election right on the money on Oct. 2, 2008 by saying that BHO would win in a landslide with near 400 electoral votes (he got 370), and he would get an SMDC (super-majority Democratic Congress), and I am telling you right now that BHO will NOT govern from the center. He will be the one that moves left and tries to pull the country with him. He is running on pure power-trip right now and with the Senate races going in favor of the Dems to give them a 58-59 majority, they will not need Lieberman whom they will jettison very quickly by stripping him of his Chairmanship of the very important Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committee. This committee is central to the war on terror, and this committee chairmanship will be given to a Democrat that supported BHO.

BHO is the most liberal Senator in the US Senate, and he got elected with the help of the most radical leftist organizations in the country: Moveon.org, Media Matters, the Daily Kos, ACORN, and the ACLU. I am not even going to mention the Socialist Democrats of America, and the American Communist party. Throw in all the big unions (AFL-CIO, NEA, Teamsters, GovWorkers, etc), and you have a cauldron of leftist, socialist, and radical supporters that are already demanding payback. Go see each one of this organization's websites and see what they are wanting from BHO and his soon-to-be SMDC.

Govern from the center? Yea right. A tiger doesn't change his stripes that easily. Watch how quickly he implements his agenda using both executive fiat and Congressional legislation.

The US is more divided than ever

The country is moving towards a future revolution that can be seen by analyzing the 1992-2008 electoral maps of states for each party and the number and placement of those states.

The site shows that since the 1992 election, the country is becoming more and more divided with the 2008 showing the stark reality that to win a Presidential election with large numbers, the coasts are the only places needed to win while the "fly over zone" as the Mid-West is called is largely not needed.

 

BHO took 360 electoral votes with the major coastal states while McCain took the rest and only achieved 174 votes. An election could be won with only winning about 10-12 states (CA,OR,WA,NY,OH,PA,NJ,FL,VA,NC,MI,IL) leaving the rest of the 38-40 states out in the cold.

 

This is causing the progressive, liberal agenda of the coasts to be impressed upon the central part of the country where there is more traditional values and lifestyles. As the coasts become more and more shrill like the protests and riots that are taking place in California when the people decided to change the state's constitution to protect traditional marriages, the courts appear to be ready to overturn the will of the people for the 3rd time.

 

This is the course that the liberal/Democrats will take as the people's will can be controlled and overturned by a few liberal jurists. While the revolution will not take place in California, other states are watching how activists jurists are overstepping their bounds and nullifying the will of the people.

 

Had the vote gone their way, the Prop 8 proponents would have hailed it as a great victory for the people of California. When it did not, they turned to their liberal ally: the liberal courts of California.

 

This will be the oil that will ultimately ignite a revolution in this country over values, taxes, property rights, government intervention, and educational direction. BHO's presidency could and probably will be the instrument that leads to this revolution as he will push his leftist/socialist agenda too fast for the rest of the country which will push back if there is any character left in America.

 

Don't hold your breath. It may take pictures of US troops coming to houses to collect guns and ammunition before the revolution gets started.

I have the privilege (or disadvantage, depending on your perspective) of living in a blue state with many blue friends while having mostly red family members and many red friends as well. Unfortunately this does not allow me to peacefully wallow in my own opinion buttressed by nothing but confirmation of my inherent rightness. I'm forced to confront the reasonableness of the other side as well as the fact that generally they're just good people.

Sadly, it appears that many of my friends, family and acquaintances are not in this position and feel much freer expressing serious contempt for the "other side". And I don't think they know they are or mean to, or perhaps they are expressing contempt for "those other people"...whoever they are. Regardless of your perspective on how the country should be run, being inconsiderate of other people's ideas isn't exactly helpful. In fact, isn't the best way to listen very carefully to what the other side has to say so that you can both come up with the best of both worlds? If nothing else it's important to note that if millions and millions of people think something, shouldn't you pause to just consider it? That many people cannot be that dumb. Otherwise our society wouldn't have lasted even as long as it has.

Anyway, it'd be great if our disagreements would involve a little more listening and a lot less malevolence.

Ah, my very young daughter, it is so wonderful to see how you view life in your short life and begin to realize how you have arrived at your current opinions and perspectives. We who have been around longer and disagree with your views do not do so by personal attacks or derision only that your experiences in education and upbringing seem to had the primary impact on these opinions.

I disagree with your views and opinions on basically three fronts:
1. It seems to me that you speak in platitudes and generalities without substance or concrete examples of solutions.
2. Your demonstrative emotional attachment to BHO and his successful campaign always raises flags with me when someone is "starry eyed" rather than hard, cold calculatingly positioned. Much like Oprah who could not or would not say why she was so enamored with BHO, only that this was truly an historic period in our history.
3. And probably most important, you appear to me to be some what defensive when someone shows any type of aggressiveness against BHO. As the President-elect and soon to be the 44st President, I would suggest that you may want to thicken your skin because BHO is going to get hit from all sides and from all quarters.

Remember how vehemently your side began the Bush-hating from his "stolen election" in 2000 through the war and re-election in 2004. The amount of virulence was unprecedented in modern political science. Why would you think that "what goes around comes around" has stopped working?

I might even go as far as to say that it may reach the same level of emotional expression in both intensity and content as it did with your side towards Bush. The sheer level of hatred and emotional negativeness leveled towards Bush, his family, even his dog from Moveon.org, Media Matters, the Daily Kos were simply embarrassing for a modern political party and its operatives.

The next 4 to 8 years, my daughter, is going to be very disconcerting if you do not understand this and realize that the "shoe is truly on the other foot."

In this matter, I believe as I said in my blog (not going to mention the name here - no self-aggrandizing) the BHO administration his heavily Democratic Congress will move quickly to attempt the re-installation of the "Fairness Doctrine" in order to squash this anti-BHO verbiage. This will be the first indication that your so-called "liberalism" is truly moving towards a more governmental interventionist form of socialism.

I will and have to tell you that I for one will be there to point these personal freedom losses all along the way.

SFO gay activist calls for Joe the Plulmber's death!

America is quickly dissolving into a completely divided and impotent political formation as the following story shows in the clearest terms imaginable:

Charles Karel Bouley, a gay-activist, and political commentator on KGO in San Francisco, said on his last Saturday radio show that he wanted someone to kill Joe the Plumber. Bouley who uses the nom de plume of Karel, and also writes for the Huffington Post, called for Joe's death in addition to other such atrocities as calling for the death to Mormons for their opposition to Prop 8 (the anti-gay marriage proposal on California's ballot this year), calling for an investigation of who leaked the BHO's half-aunt story, and other completely off-the-wall verbal diarrhea-type commentary.

Now this in itself was outlandish in the extreme, but what I find more mind-boggling is that not one of the liberal, main-stream media outlets covered any of these verbal vomits. Had it been something similar on the conservative side, they would have been all over the story and more.

Again, the liberal media is lowering the bar to the point where the media is country is now the laughing stock of the world journalism industry. 2008 will go down in history as the year the American media died as an independent, ethical entity.

During the next 4 to 8 years of the BHO and SMDC administrations, this media will go even further towards their unethical and captured status of the BHO White House. Also, why does not BHO call for an apology and sanctions against Karel like they/he did when a supposed McCain rally attendee (which was later proven to be false) made statements about BHO? Hypocrisy in the extreme, eh, BHO?

Without a fair and independent media industry in this country, the USA takes one more step towards becoming the USSA.

Extreme leftists continued hate-spewing explained

Reading all the extreme liberalism/leftists hate-filled blogs and speech (Huffington Post, Daily Kos, etc) makes me understand that there must be something about conservatism that they fear since "ideologs" that are comfortable in their own beliefs and tenants do not go out of their way to spew such hatred about the object of their fear and loathing.

Using a left wing politicos own words, I quote the ex-Secretary of State under Bill Clinton, Madeline Albright:

"“there’s a place in Hell reserved for women who don’t help other women.”

Notice that her quotation did not refer to ideology, politics or beliefs, just gender. Once Gov. Sarah Palin used the quotation (a paraphrase that was misquoted on a coffee cup, not her misquote) the extreme left has gone nuts over the use.

"How dare this dolt misuse Secretary Albright's quote..." (sic: should be quotation, but that's just their lack of English training) from the Huffington Post

More amazing is that their hatred is gaining strength as the election moves towards the Nov. 4th culmination. It would seem that if BHO is so far ahead as the media and polls would like one to assume, why waste your time? Why waste your energy on hatred since it also eats the presenter as well.

Oh well, when one's heart is filled with hatred and sadness, all you can do is pity them. Their lives must be very poor and morose indeed.

While I am a conservative (not Republican) who supports both self-responsibility and self-reliance, I am happy with the world even though BHO and his SMDC may sweep the election. I don't worry about such trivial matters since in the long scheme of things, both the very poor performance of Bush 43 and the likely election of BHO and a SMDC do not matter beyond something to think about when nothing else comes to mind.

Senator Stevens convicted, but still running for seat!

If there is any more need of the lack of statesmanship from politicians, it is from the Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens (AK-R) who was convicted by a federal jury on 7 counts of corruptions, etc, but still has the audacity to go back to Alaska and ask the voters to put him back into office.

The Alaskan GOP including Gov. Sarah Palin along with Senator McCain are calling for Stevens to resign now before the election even though it would mean that the Democratic candidate would win the Republican seat. So Senator Stevens shows that he has no shame, ethics, or integrity while the Republic candidates for President & VP are asking for him to resign even though it might mean that the US Senate increases its Democratic majority.

I don't think you would see the same thing from the Democrats where even after President Clinton was shown to have lied directly to the US public, was allowed to stay in office and even til today is the Democratic Party's Ronald Reagan.

So there is plenty of bad manners and lack of ethics to go around on both sides, so what do I say?

A POX on BOTH YOUR HOUSES (or PARTIES in this issue)!

We really need to get both parties to reform especially the Republicans who have gone the way of the Democrats which you expect such behavior from given all their bad episodes, scandals, and "forgiving passes" from the main stream media. All this just lowers the bar for all politicians to a point where the voters need to completely eliminate both of these parties of losers.

However, the chance of this being done in the US today? Well, in statistics we call this an epsilon number. [Hint: an extremely small, small number, but not exactly zero.]

Extreme Liberalism truly is a Mental Disorder

Having put myself out there on this blog, I expect to receive comments and email that disagree with my point of view, but I have been sent such hate-filled comments (those I do not post, but keep for humor reading later) and emails from EXTREME liberals and Democrats (I know because they are self-labeling) that it belies the label liberal.

The concept of liberalism is to support, allow, and activate for the "right to be liberal;" however, I find that most, not all, of the extreme hate mail I read on the Internet is from the extreme left side of the Democratic party. I am speaking of the Huffington Post, the Daily Kos, Media Matters, and many others.

To the normal liberal/Democrats reading my blog, your left-sided cohorts are really giving your cause a bad name for several reasons:

When a person can only level personal, unsubstantiated attacks against the person and not the argument, it is a sure sign of weak mindedness since cogent arguments are what persuade, not personal, and vitriolic comments.

Showing such hatred for someone that does not agree with your point of view is a true sign of fascism and smacks of the kind of thinking that got Germany started down the path of Nazism where those that did not look like, act like, or think like those in charge were to be shunned, at first, later killed.

Such hatred and virulence is truly the beginning of the degradation of mental processes that usually end in a severe mental disorder as defined in the DSM (Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). Most hatreds as the DSM delineates are usually manifestations of self-hatred.

Accepting of the fact that there is hate-crime legislation (which I strongly disagree with its enactment on governmental intrusion into the thoughts and motives of its citizens) on the books, the kind of comments and hate-email I receive could probably rise to the level of prosecution. Hmmmmmm... I guess this would make extreme liberalism a mental disorder. Should it be placed in the DSM?

In this case, I would probably have to agree with the DSM that such hatred is usually just self-hatred projected outward towards those that are different. Seems quite an incongruity that the extreme liberals are the ones that exhibit for the most hatred for conservatives, but then want everyone to be tolerant of their "pet projects."

I know that if you are a liberal/Democrat reading this you are going to immediately begin thinking of examples of how the "conservative/right" does the same thing and you might even be able to produce a site or two that supports your contention; however, excusing bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior just lowers the bar for all.

By the way, I have found 15 to 1 of extreme left to extreme right website rising to the level of a "mental disorder." I think the imbalance speaks for itself.

Life and people never cease to amaze me.
