The Mumbai massacres were made worse by the complete lack of citizen-based firepower due to the rather draconian gun laws in India. The Indian police even said that they had not fired their weapons in over 10 years, and the normal Indian citizen can not even get a gun permit unless they can prove their are being currently endangered, and when that endangerment is over, they have to turn their weapon back into the authorities.
So if you are a terrorist with all the weapons in the world at your disposal, are you going to be afraid to take on the entire city of Mumbai with over 20 million inhabitants? Hell, NO! No one has the firepower to even show you a contest. The terrorists brought the weapons in from outside India (DUH!) and then sprayed everyone they could see with automatic weapons fire. So you can see how 10 terrorists could do so much damage.
Would this have happened in Texas or Upstate NY, or Alaska? Again, hell NO! The terrorists would have to land a complete battalion replete with heavy artillery to do that amount of damage. Everyone in those US locales pack and are not afraid to use their now Supreme Court affirmed 2nd Amendment rights.
At least the USSC (United States Supreme Court) saw the 2nd amendment as applying to normal citizens and not just the government.
We will have to see how the USSC acts over the next 4 years after the new BHO appointments take their seats.
