If you want to see what happens when a normally free-market country allows its government to nationalize large parts of its financial system, just watch what is happening in Argentina.
The government in Argentina is going to nationalize all pension funds and plans due to what they say is "blatant corruption and uncontrolled greed..." in order to protect the Argentine taxpayer, etc.
What was the response from the Argentine stock markets: they dropped 26% in one week!
American be ware -- your government is talking about doing the same thing. Government intervention always brings disaster. Always.
No socialist country has ever produced anything but pain, misery, and suffering from its citizenry. Look up the history, folks. Lack of freedom always drowns the human spirit and dampens the spirit regardless of the motives of the well-intended.

(From Seven Star Hand) Hey IBNanouk,
So, why should all of humanity be forced to suffer and struggle any longer, now that the entire global financial system has been exposed as a mind-boggling eception, within many other deceptions? No one in their right mind would continue to be enslaved by a proven deception, which is also proven to be undeniable slavery-by-proxy !!!
The derivatives scams alone have grown to more than 10-times the entire global GDP (at last counting) and are now failing because the scam/pyramid scheme broke and exposed the deception for all to see. A significant portion of global wealth and power was created and propped-up using these and other now-proven smoke and mirrors and house of cards illusions and delusions.
These deceptions have grown many times larger than the rest of the entire world economy. Consequently, there is no way that all of the world's governments ombined,
who themselves borrow so-called "money" from other central-bank smoke and mirror deceptions, can solve this debacle, by using more smoke and mirrors money scams.
The only solutions they are offering will take centuries to repay, if ever.

to Seven Star Hand:
Your assertions forget 2 very important issues:
1. Humanity can't exist without production, production under the government control like communism doesn't produce peace or tranquility just lines for everything (witness the old USSR and now China and North Korea). Central planning has been proved almost useless in managing life for "humanity" it is primarily a power grab by the few.
2. Deception as you call it happens in free-markets, but the correct role of government is to provide transparency and a level playing field, not control and censure that has shown it doesn't work.
Seven, your condemnation of the current free-market system while emotionally feels good and gets the gut-feel test of "Yea, Man, that's it" fails when you do not offer any viable alternative. How do you prevent suffering and struggling of humanity without total control and power centralization that violates the adage "Power corrupts, and absolute power..." You get my point.
Greed is a fact of life and where was greed and power more rampant than in the old USSR, and currently in the last vestiges of totalitarianism like Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and China.
Does this mean that people will not rise up and temporarily try to punish those that they think are responsible for their lot in life? No, my friend, we may very will see revolution come from this financial moray, but what will take its place will not alleviate your original assertions of "forced suffer and struggle..."
Your ideals and ideology suffer from the same problem as most populist, socialists, etc (from your comments you are not a free-marketer), punishment feels good, but rarely solves problems long term. Be careful what you wish for, the totalitarian systems that replace the current "broken schemes" usually restrict all freedoms, not just those that you want to punish.
Thanks for commenting.
